?? The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and energetic Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team and become the person who helps bring a little extra sparkle to life at Pine Lodge!

This is a role where no two days need to be the same.

One day you could be organising a quiz or baking afternoon, the next you might be taking residents out for lunch, arranging a garden-centre trip, hosting a themed party, putting on some music or simply sitting down with someone for a cuppa and a chat.

We want someone who isn't afraid to think outside the box!

?? What You’ll Be Doing

• ?? Creating a varied and exciting programme of activities based around our residents, not just a timetable
• ?? Organising music, quizzes, games, crafts, baking, reminiscence sessions and themed events
• ?? Helping organise trips, outings and opportunities to enjoy the local community
• ?? Celebrating birthdays, special occasions and seasonal events
• ?? Encouraging residents to socialise, make friends and try something new
• ?? Creating meaningful one-to-one activities for residents who may prefer quieter activities
• ?? Supporting mental stimulation, independence and confidence
• ?? Working closely with care staff and families to discover what residents enjoy and what makes them smile
• ?? Keeping simple and accurate records of activities and participation
• ??? Ensuring activities are safe, appropriate and accessible for everyone
• ?? Most importantly — bringing your own ideas, personality and creativity to the role!

We aren't necessarily looking for someone with a long list of qualifications.

We're looking for the right person.

Someone who:

• ?? Has a naturally positive and friendly personality
• ?? Is full of ideas and isn't afraid to try something different
• ?? Genuinely enjoys spending time with older people
• ??? Is confident communicating with residents, relatives and colleagues
• ?? Loves organising events and creating memorable experiences
• ?? Can adapt activities to suit different abilities, interests and personalities
• ?? Works well as part of a team but is also confident working independently
• ?? Understands that sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference

Previous experience in activities, hospitality, events, entertainment or a similar role would be an advantage — but personality, enthusiasm and the desire to make a difference are just as important.
