I have watched my mum try to settle and enjoy her new surroundings, but unfortunately her dementia really took a hold and Mum became extremely distressed. The staff at Pine Lodge were amazing, managing and comforting Mum throughout several difficult events which were quite distressing. The staff provided our family with updates and relevant information which allowed us to make informed decisions for Mum's welfare when speaking to her G.P. The atmosphere here is extremely positive, caring, interactive and the staff smile and appear happy in thier job role. Great work Pine Lodge, be proud, because you do a tremendous job.

My wife only comes two afternoons a week. When she comes, she enjoys her visit, particularly on Wednesdays when there is dancing involved. Friday afternoon, she does not enjoy as much! As he has no other interests or hobbies.

Mum has now been in Pine Lodge for over 4 years and I have never regretted her going there. During that time, her dementia has advanced from mild to absolute. I have never once been concerned about her safety or well-being.
The home is marvellous; clean, bright and freshly decorated. The resident's rooms are of good size and offer a retreat and personal space; something that is needed.
All staff are wonderfully kind and compassionate. Everything about them shows they are genuinely interested and loving of the residents in their care. Everyone who passes by Mum has time for a few words and a smile. These are enormous gifts to folk whose world has contracted in many ways. The staff are welcoming to visitors and go to great lengths to ensure everyone is comfortable and happy.
A variety of activities take place either cyclic or one-off. I'm looking forward to the afternoon Halloween party in a few weeks.

I wholeheartedly recommend Pine Lodge to anyone looking to place a loved one in care.

Pine Lodge became the answer to our prayers when they happily accommodated my grandma.

It was evident Grandma wasn’t safe living alone anymore. Pine Lodge was a place where Grandma felt safe, cared for, and most importantly she felt at home.

Overall Experience
Pine Lodge have been so kind, professional, and compassionate with their care extended to Mum - it is an utter relief for the family.
93-year-old Mum came to Pine Lodge as a fiercely independent widow of 35 years. Her historic experiences of another care home, for an elderly relative, reinforced her caution at the prospect of a change from independent living.
She need not have worried.
Mum has made many friends at Pine Lodge, both among the staff and residents.
Pine Lodge went to great lengths to appreciate Mum's life experiences and tailor their care to meet her specific needs.
Mum's well-being overall has improved considerably, due to Pine Lodge's care and use of their own GP surgeries in-house. This means there is no longer the ever-changing and insurmountable difficulty of her engaging with an arm's length NHS service.

The family are truly grateful for the effort all the staff at Pine Lodge go to, to make Mum's life as enjoyable and secure as it has become for her.

Absolutely superb care of my mother and father. The staff led by the manager are kind, professional, and go above and beyond to make my parents' lives special in the care home. Food and care second to none and one member of staff in particular looks after all the activities so well. I give Pine Lodge ten out of ten and am very happy for people to contact me if they want further information.

Mum came to Pine Lodge earlier this year following a series of falls and could no longer live independently in her flat. We were fortunate to find a space here at short notice and have had no regrets. Mum's care has been excellent, the staff are lovely and very caring and friendly and we have seen mum recover from her illness with the care received.

My mum is very happy at Pine Lodge and loves her room with a view of the garden. The staff are amazing and so caring and friendly not only to mum but to the family as well. When we do have a concern they listen and deal with it appropriately. A really friendly home and I have no doubt that mum is well looked after and cared for.

The care my father receives is always professional and compassionate. He has lived at Pine Lodge for 3 years and is happy and settled there and is very fond of the staff. They have always made me very welcome and take time to explain my dad's care and listen to any concerns I have. I am consulted quickly when emergencies arise and feel I am able to take active decisions with the staff where necessary. I am convinced that the care he has received, particularly through the Covid pandemic, has resulted in him still being with us and am grateful that I can rely on him being in safe hands.

The staff are all very nice and welcoming, polite on the phone at all times as mother-in-law arrived as we were going into the first lockdown things were difficult as there was no visiting however, things soon settle down for all the family.
Over time, my mother-in-law's mobility has deteriorated, the home has pulled out all the stops enabling her to overcome her anxiety and has given her encouragement which includes her receiving the correct professional help such as a physiotherapist etc and organising equipment to assist her.
I know she enjoys the food as it is all cooked on the premises, she also likes the activities on offer, especially the music morning. She is very happy at Pine Lodge.

I personally have a very good relationship with the staff they are all extremely kind, caring and compassionate.

Mum always seems happy to be there and she loves her room. Obviously, things have been difficult as she was admitted during lockdown but everyone at the home has been very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, mum hasn't shown much interest in the activities provided, despite encouragement, but I think that is down to her rather than whatever is on offer.

The care you provide mum is excellent. You are a 'home' not just a residential home. You are like one big family which has been vital during the restrictions and lockdowns as we have not been able to visit. You have kept everyone safe during this time.
Our family are assured that mum is being looked after and her needs are being met. Mum can voice her opinions easily so we know she is happy being cared for by you. We have missed joining in with all the fetes and events in 2020 which you organise so well. We also miss the scrummy cakes that you provide. The food is excellent, we have eaten with mum on many occasions.
The only issue we have is the problem with the telephone reception in Mum's room. We cannot always speak to her when she is not feeling well enough to go to where the reception is better. We understand that this is being looked into.

Your staff are so dedicated and caring and we thank you all.

My wife was admitted to Pine Lodge Care Home in August 2020 with dementia (Alzheimer's Disease) and the care and attention she has been shown since then have been excellent and it is a great comfort for me to know that she is being looked after so well. In addition, I must compliment the staff on their friendliness towards me when I phone each day to enquire about my wife's health and I am assured that nothing is too much trouble when I ask for information.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Pine Lodge to any prospective resident.

I felt very happy with my late father's care, even though it was a relatively short before he had to go into hospital. He seemed very happy and we were too with the care and attention he received from all staff and felt he was well cared for with his complex health conditions without any concerns which was a great help to us in these difficult situations.

The care home was very comfortable and homely and every effort was made to make us feel assured and my father feels at home and cared for in every respect. It was very clean and safe with regular checks carried out by the manager.
