Senior Carer

We are looking for a warm, dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our friendly care home team. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional person?centred care and confident leading others, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference every day.

As a Senior Carer, you will support residents with dignity, respect and compassion, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met. You will lead the care team during your shift, administer medication (if trained), maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with families and professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Person?centred care including personal care, mobility support and wellbeing.

• Medication administration (if trained) and accurate MAR documentation.

• Shift leadership — guiding carers, delegating tasks and ensuring high standards.

• Providing clear, structured handover at the start and end of each shift.

• Updating care plans, daily notes, fluid charts and risk assessments.

• Supporting new staff and promoting a positive team culture.

• Escalating concerns, safeguarding issues or changes in residents’ health.

• Communicating professionally with families and external professionals.
