About the Role

As a Senior Carer, you will play an important leadership role within the home, supporting residents while guiding and supervising care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.

Working closely with the management team, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where residents remain at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing.
• Support residents with personal care, daily living activities, and emotional wellbeing.
• Administer medication safely and accurately in line with policies and procedures.
• Supervise, support, and mentor care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
• Assist with care planning, reviews, record keeping, and effective communication across the team.
• Welcome and support new team members through induction and ongoing guidance.
• Promote meaningful activities and social engagement, helping residents enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate care records and contribute to regulatory compliance and best practice.
• Promote safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention, and quality standards throughout the home.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, or experienced Care Assistant within a care home setting.
• Holds or is willing to work towards an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Has experience administering medication and maintaining care records.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Is compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional care.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding, CQC standards, and person-centred care.
• Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting colleagues to succeed.
