Activities Coordinator - Create Meaningful Moments Every Day

We're looking for a creative and compassionate Activities Coordinator to help our residents live fulfilling lives by delivering engaging activities tailored to their interests, abilities, and life stories.
Estuary View is a welcoming 36-bedroom care home set in beautiful surroundings, featuring well-maintained gardens and a unique internal courtyard sensory garden. Our home provides a peaceful and stimulating environment where residents can enjoy meaningful activities, social interaction, and opportunities to spend time outdoors throughout the year.
As our Activities Coordinator, you'll work 15 hours per week (3 hours per day), planning and delivering a varied programme of activities, events, and one-to-one engagement sessions that promote wellbeing, independence, and social connection. You'll get to know each resident as an individual, learning about their hobbies, interests, and experiences to create activities that are personal, enjoyable, and meaningful.
Salary: £13.10ph
What You'll Be Doing as Activities Coordinator:
- Planning and delivering a varied programme of group and individual activities.
- Building strong relationships with residents and understanding their life stories and interests.
- Supporting residents' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive wellbeing.
- Organising seasonal celebrations, themed events, and community activities.
- Encouraging participation and supporting residents who may be isolated or reluctant to join in.
- Maintaining accurate activity records and participation logs.
- Working closely with care teams to ensure activities meet residents' individual needs.
What We're Looking For:
- Warm, caring, and passionate about improving the lives of older people.
- Creative and enthusiastic, with lots of ideas for engaging activities.
- Organised and able to work independently.
- A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in an activities, care, hospitality, or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential.
