- Hourly Rate: £12.76
- Hours: 21 per week, working over 3 days per week
- Shift Pattern: Typically between 10am-5pm but this may change for parties & trips out so flexibility required.

Parklands is a purpose-built care home providing expert residential, dementia nursing, and dementia care in a warm, welcoming environment. Located close to beautiful Hesketh Park, our home is designed to promote independence, comfort, and wellbeing, with engaging activities playing an important role in daily life.
Your Role as an Activities Coordinator
As Activities Coordinator, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering a varied programme of activities that encourages social interaction, promotes wellbeing, and supports residents to continue enjoying the hobbies and interests that matter most to them.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a diverse programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
- Organise celebrations, themed events, seasonal activities, and community engagement opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families to understand individual life stories, interests, and preferences.
- Encourage participation and support residents to remain active, engaged, and socially connected.
- Develop meaningful dementia-friendly activities that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional wellbeing.
- Coordinate visits from entertainers, local community groups, schools, and volunteers.
- Support residents to access outings and experiences within the local community where appropriate.
- Maintain activity records and contribute to care plans, ensuring activities reflect residents' individual needs and choices.

- Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to support special events throughout the year.
- Experienced in activities, health and social care, customer-facing roles, or community engagement, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
