  • Hours: 16 hours per week, 2 shifts per week
  • Shifts: 8am – 4:30pm

Parklands is a purpose-built care home offering expert residential, dementia nursing, and dementia care in a warm, welcoming environment. Just a short stroll from beautiful Hesketh Park, our home has been thoughtfully designed to support comfort, wellbeing, and independence.

We are currently recruiting a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during daytime hours.

Your Role as a Housekeeper:

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning Residents' Bedrooms and Communal Areas: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and corridors.
  • Ensuring Excellent Hygiene Standards: Following cleaning schedules, infection prevention procedures, and health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Assisting with the collection, laundering, sorting, and distribution of residents' clothing and household linen.
  • Stock Control: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning products, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies as required.
  • Supporting Resident Wellbeing: Helping to create a pleasant, welcoming environment that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence for residents.
  • Working as Part of a Team: Collaborating with colleagues across the home to ensure housekeeping services are delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll be:

  • Reliable and Hardworking: Able to work independently, manage their time effectively, and take pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Experienced in Housekeeping or Cleaning: Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry role is desirable, although full training will be provided.
  • Detail-Oriented: Able to notice and address cleaning requirements, ensuring all areas of the home are kept clean, hygienic, and well-presented.
  • Caring and Respectful: Understanding the importance of residents' dignity, privacy, and personal preferences when carrying out housekeeping duties.
  • Team Players: Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to support the smooth running of the home.
  • Committed to High Standards: Passionate about providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: Willing to assist with a range of housekeeping and laundry tasks to meet the needs of the service.
