Weekend Pattern: Alternate weekends
About the Role
Hazel Bank Care Home is looking for a caring, reliable and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our night team.
As a Night Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our residents remain safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night. You will provide person-centred care while respecting each resident’s dignity, privacy, preferences and individual needs.
Key Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents throughout the night.

Assist residents with toileting, washing, changing and other personal care needs.

Support residents with mobility and repositioning where required.

Monitor residents throughout the night and respond promptly to their needs.

Carry out regular checks to ensure residents are safe, comfortable and settled.

Observe and report any changes in residents' health or wellbeing to the senior care team.

Assist residents who wake during the night and provide reassurance and emotional support.

Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents.

Complete accurate care records and overnight documentation.

Follow safeguarding, infection-control, health and safety and care home procedures.

Work closely with nurses, senior carers and the wider care team to ensure continuity of care.

Previous care experience is desirable, although training may be provided for the right candidate.
