Location: Eachstep Blackburn

Hours: Part-Time | 24 Hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 shifts per week | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a enthusiastic, compassionate, and creative Activity Coordinator to join our team at Eachstep Blackburn. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the daily lives, wellbeing, and happiness of our residents by planning and delivering engaging social and recreational activities.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan & Lead Activities: Design and execute creative weekly schedules including arts and crafts, music sessions, gentle exercise, quizzes, and seasonal celebrations.

• Person-Centered Engagement: Tailor group and 1-on-1 activities to match residents' individual interests, background, and capabilities.

• Promote Connection: Encourage resident participation and build a supportive, inclusive community environment to combat loneliness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Previous experience in a care home, social care, or recreational setting is preferred.

• Education: Good general standard of education (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).

• Certifications (Advantageous): Level 2/3 NVQ or Diploma in Health & Social Care, or Activity Provision training.

• Compliance: Subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
