30 hours per week | 4 days per week
£14.00–£14.50 per hour, depending on experience

Are you creative, caring and passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people?

Lakeside House Nursing Home is looking for an enthusiastic Activities Lead to lead and develop a varied, meaningful and person-centred activities programme for our residents.

What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver engaging activities based on residents' interests, life histories, abilities and preferences
• Organise music, arts and crafts, games, gardening, reminiscence, exercise, cooking and social activities
• Provide meaningful one-to-one engagement as well as group activities
• Organise celebrations, outings and community activities
• Involve relatives, volunteers and the wider community
• Encourage residents to maintain independence, social connections and wellbeing
• Gather feedback and evaluate activities to demonstrate positive outcomes
• Use social media effectively to promote the home and share residents’ activities, achievements and positive experiences with families and the wider community, in line with consent, privacy and home policies

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

? Is caring, enthusiastic, creative and approachable
? Has experience working with older people or vulnerable adults
? Has experience organising and delivering activities
? Understands person-centred care
? Has excellent communication and organisational skills
? Can work independently and as part of a wider care team

Experience in a care home, dementia care or therapeutic activities would be an advantage.
