About the Role:

The Clinical Lead will take responsibility for the person-centred care delivery to the residents that live in the home always ensuring their dignity and privacy.

Your Responsibilities:

• To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and all current home guidance and maintain an active PIN. 
• Provide strong clinical oversight to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and evidence-based care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalised care plans, and ensure ongoing evaluation of resident needs.
• Lead on clinical audits, and adherence to best-practice standards.
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and support staff in complex decision-making.
• Confidence and ability to effectively lead a staff team to ensure that the residents are appropriately cared for
• To lead in the management of medicines in the Home, overseeing the ordering process, undertaking monthly audits and maintaining annual competency assessments for those staff responsible for the administration of medication
• Lead, mentor, and supervise nurses and senior carers within the home
• Coordinate staff allocation and deployment, manage workloads, and ensure adequate staffing levels and effective skill mix
• To provide clinical supervision to the Registered Nurses, to include live supervision at least quarterly. Through supervision ensure that the Registered Nurse and Nursing Assistant teams obtain and sustain the clinical competencies necessary to meet the needs of residents
• In the absence of the Manager or their deputy to be responsible for notifying the Health and Safety Executive of any incident reportable under the Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1985.
