About Us

Serencroft Care Homes is an independent care provider operating five residential and nursing homes across England, including Woodlands in Stockport. We are CQC-regulated and B Corp certified, and we work in partnership with NHS commissioners and local universities to provide high-quality, person-centred care. We're looking for an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse (RGN) to join our night team, delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to the residents and staff who call Woodlands home.

The Role

As our Registered Nurse (RGN), you'll be responsible for delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care to residents overnight at Woodlands. You'll lead and support the night care team, administer medication, and help ensure the home meets health and safety standards — playing an important behind-the-scenes role in the comfort and wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

•  Deliver safe, effective and person-centred nursing care to residents in line with their individual care plans

•  Administer medication safely and accurately, in line with NMC standards and home policy

•  Undertake clinical assessments, monitor residents' health and escalate concerns promptly

•  Lead and support care staff during night shifts, providing clinical guidance and supervision

•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including care plans and nursing notes

•  Liaise with GPs, out-of-hours services and other healthcare professionals as required

•  Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate clinical intervention, including first aid and resuscitation where necessary

•  Support infection prevention and control practices throughout the home

•  Ensure compliance with CQC standards, the NMC Code and Serencroft's clinical governance policies

What We're Looking For

•  Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current, valid NMC PIN

•  Experience working in a care home, nursing home or similar clinical setting is desirable

•  Right to work in the UK

•  Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

•  Good communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude

•  Confidence leading and supervising a care team during night shifts

•  Commitment to ongoing professional development and NMC revalidation requirements

What We Offer

•  A varied, hands-on role within a supportive, values-led care home team

•  Ongoing training and development opportunities within a multi-site care group

•  Full induction

•  Potential to take up NVQ once successfully completing probation period.

•  A supportive value led team environment

•  Refer a Friend bonus – up to £200!

•  Blue Light Card Eligibility
