Salary: £13.10 - £14.10 per hour depending on experience

Contract: Permanent - Full Time - 33 hours per week

About Staplehurst Manor Care Home:

Staplehurst Manor is a beautiful home, which welcomes anyone in need of nursing or residential care, including those living with Parkinson's. Nurses are on duty at all times for residents in need of nursing care, which is particularly helpful if their condition requires regular medical attention.

They're in a picturesque spot between the High Wield and the Kent Downs, both areas of outstanding natural beauty and surrounded by open fields and woodland, but Staplehurst village is just a mile away. There you'll find shops, pubs, churches and a library.

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, with high ceilings and lots of natural light. There are lovely arched windows, parquet floors, stained glass and a sweeping staircase.

Residents can have a little pampering in the salon, settle down quietly with a book, or catch up with a loved one over coffee and cake in one of the lounges. Outside, they can enjoy very large grounds, where there's a courtyard garden with a pretty fishpond and terrace. There's also a wildlife pond, and peaceful woodland walks for those who are able.

This is a warm and friendly community, not only for residents but for their friends and family, too. The activity coordinator makes sure there's something for everyone, including those who are less mobile.

They prepare delicious meals which residents can enjoy in their beautiful, spacious dining room or in the comfort of their own room.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.

• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.

• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.

• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.

• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
