About the Role:

As a Nurse, you will ensure that high quality care is delivered to the resident and to work as part of a cohesive team.  Typically, you will provide medical and personal care to individuals who are chronically ill, disabled or suffering from cognitive impairments.  You will also observe and assess the health of their residents. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and all current home guidance and maintain an active PIN. 
  • To implement, promote and maintain care for the residents on a daily basis and deliver agreed standards of care with other members of the team. 
  • To assess, implement and maintain individual care plans for residents.
  • Confidence and ability to effectively lead a staff team to ensure that the residents are appropriately cared for
  • Confidence to deliver supervisions to the staff team
  • Liaise with GP’s and other professionals. 
  • To order, store and administer medicines according to the policy of the Home, NMC and CQC/CI requirements. 
  • To ensure that all staff in the clinical area are familiar with and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home. 
  • Develop and promote good communication with residents, relatives and staff. 
  • Ensure that care is resident focused and that the residents’ dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.

  • Genuine interest in, and experience of working with vulnerable adults 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels 
  • Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands, and prioritise tasks 
  • Remain flexible and positive regardless of the demands in the service
