What if your role wasn’t just about leading care… but about inspiring others to help people live richer, more meaningful lives?
At Peninsula Care Homes, we believe moving into care shouldn’t mean life becomes smaller. It should mean safer, warmer days - filled with connection, comfort and purpose.
And that’s only possible because of people like you: leaders with compassion, warmth and heart.
A rich life isn’t measured in charts or tasks. It’s measured in how people feel - understood, supported and genuinely valued.
As a Care Lead at home, you’ll help shape a home where everyday moments matter. You’ll guide and support the care team, help residents feel truly known, and make sure care is delivered with dignity, kindness and confidence.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be a calm, steady presence on shift - someone your team relies on, and someone residents feel safe with.
Your role will blend:
- Leading with warmth – inspiring and supporting the team, modelling the kind of care you want to see.
- Hands-on care – from personal care to emotional reassurance, helping residents feel comfortable, respected and at home.
- Knowing people deeply – understanding their stories, routines, preferences and what makes each day meaningful for them.
- Keeping care centred on the person – making sure records are accurate and up-to-date, noticing changes, and helping shape care that truly fits the individual.
- Supporting safety and wellbeing – administering medication using eMAR, responding calmly to concerns, ensuring the home is safe and secure.
- Working closely with families and professionals – creating a joined-up, compassionate approach to care.
You’ll help make sure each shift runs smoothly, with thoughtful planning, good communication and a team who feel confident and supported.
Because leadership here isn’t about standing back - it’s about standing with people.
Who you are
- You’re an experienced care assistant or senior who leads with kindness first.
- You’re calm under pressure, thoughtful in your approach, and motivated by making a difference.
- You bring empathy, confidence and a genuine commitment to person?centred care.
- NVQ Level 3 (or working towards it) is a bonus.
Above all, you believe every shift is a chance to help someone live their rich life.
Our Rich Life Framework - Everything we do begins with one question: “What does a rich life look like to you?” As a Care Lead, you’ll help bring that to life - creating a home where people feel safe, valued and surrounded by things that matter to them.
Our CARE values - Committed. Ambitious. Responsible. Embracing.
They shape how we support residents, families and each other.
You’ll join a team that looks out for one another, celebrates small victories and takes pride in making each day meaningful.
