Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for creating innovative menus. Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Adhere to modified diets for residents under IDDSI
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to resident preferences
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and high quality standards
  • Manage food production processes, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and stock management
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
  • Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
  • Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain efficiency and resolve any issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety legislation

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
  • ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative atmosphere
  • Demonstrable experience in food preparation

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable within the hospitality industry
  • Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential; experience serving customers is advantageous
