Job Summary
We are seeking an outstanding Day Nurse to join our friendly, care home in Birmingham. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe, smooth, and efficient day shifts while delivering high-quality care to our residents.
We are proud to work in partnership with Walsall College to provide staff with opportunities to develop their skills through funded Level 4, and 5 qualifications.
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid and clear NMC PIN
- A genuine interest in working within the care home sector
- Satisfactory police check and POVA list clearance (where applicable)
- Previous supervisory experience in a care home (beneficial but not essential)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering safe and effective nursing care, including medication rounds, wound care, PEG feeds, and catheter care
- Communicating effectively at all levels and maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Leading and supporting the care team, working hands-on when needed
- Updating and evaluating individual care plans
- Working varied shift patterns in line with service needs
- (Optional) Using PCS – experience is beneficial but not essential
