Job Title: Health Care Assistant (Days)

Location: Milton Ernest Hall Care Home, Bedford (MK44 1RJ)

Hours: Permanent – 24 Hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at Milton Ernest Hall.

This is a full-time role offering 24 hours per week. Shift patterns will involve working 4 6 hour shift, with exact weekday shift days to be agreed upon, and you will be expected to cover some nights for sickness and annual leave cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents in a warm and supportive environment.
• Assisting residents with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
• Supporting residents to maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Updating digital care records and communicating effectively with the wider care and nursing team.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in elderly or dementia care is desirable, but a caring attitude and strong work ethic are most important.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is a bonus (or willingness to work towards it).
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Reliability and flexibility to work alternate weekends.
