Job Summary

Welcome to Menwinnion Country House

Tucked away in the beautiful Lamorna Valley, Menwinnion Country House is more than just a care home — it’s a lively, loving, slightly quirky family where every day brings something new. We’ve recently welcomed a new owner, and the home is heading into an exciting chapter full of improvements, investment and fresh ideas.

If you love laughter, meaningful moments, and making someone’s day brighter just by being you, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a caring, close?knit team who support our residents with daily living, independence, comfort and joy. We pride ourselves on person?centred care — real care, real connection, real smiles.

You’ll help create a home where residents feel safe, valued and genuinely loved… and where staff enjoy coming to work.

What Makes You Perfect for Us

  • You’re kind, patient and full of heart
  • You communicate well and stay calm when things get busy
  • You enjoy teamwork and a good laugh
  • Experience is great — but the right attitude is even better

What You’ll Get From Us

We believe happy staff = happy residents, so we look after our team properly.

  • Christmas bonus for staff
  • Free lunch when you work a 12?hour shift
  • Full DBS paid for
  • Free uniform
  • Supportive management and a genuinely lovely team
  • Training, development and progression opportunities
  • A beautiful home environment you’ll be proud to work in

And of course… plenty of fun. Whether it’s themed days, music, crafts, garden activities or spontaneous silliness, Menwinnion is a home where joy is part of the job.

Experience not essential — just bring your kindness and your spark. If you love making people smile, want to make a real difference, and fancy joining a team that’s growing, improving and celebrating every win, Menwinnion Country House is the place to be. Your next adventure starts right here in the beautiful Lamorna Valley.

Valid driving licence preferred but not essential. A driving licence is a bonus, not a deal?breaker — wheels welcome, walkers welcome too.

Contribute to care plans tailored to individual needs. Help shape care plans that actually feel personal — because our residents aren’t “one size fits all”.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Bring your chat, your warmth and your listening ears — you’ll be talking to residents, families and teammates who love a good natter.

Can use IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes. Comfortable with basic IT? Perfect. If you can click, type and not panic at a login screen, you’re golden.

Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to supporting residents’ independence and dignity. Be the kind of person who leads with kindness, champions independence and makes every moment feel dignified, joyful and human.
