Job Description:

Waking Night Care Assistant

Menwinnion Country House – Lamorna

Welcome to Menwinnion Country House — tucked away in the beautiful Lamorna Valley, where the nights are peaceful, the stars are bright.

We’re a 40?bed residential home entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership, with improvements happening all around us. And now, we’re looking for a Waking Night Care Assistant to be one of the calm, caring guardians of our home while everyone else sleeps.

If you’re someone who brings comfort, reassurance and kindness even at 3am, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

When the world goes quiet, you’ll be the steady, reassuring presence that keeps our residents safe, comfortable and cared for throughout the night.

Your night may include:

  • Keeping a gentle eye on residents and ensuring their wellbeing
  • Responding promptly to call bells and night?time needs
  • Supporting with toileting, repositioning, hydration and comfort
  • Following personalised care plans (because our residents are wonderfully individual)
  • Completing regular safety and environmental checks
  • Recording observations using our electronic care system
  • Providing a clear, helpful handover to the day team as the sun comes up

You’re the calm in the quiet hours — the person who helps residents feel safe, seen and supported even while they sleep.

What Makes You Perfect for Us

  • You’re caring, calm and patient
  • You can work independently and confidently during night shifts
  • You communicate clearly and kindly
  • You’re reliable, compassionate and committed to high?quality care
  • Basic IT skills? Great — you’ll use simple electronic systems
  • Experience is helpful, but your attitude matters more
  • You understand safeguarding and health & safety in a care?home setting
  • Enhanced DBS required (we’ll help you with this if needed)

Why Join Menwinnion?

Menwinnion is being lovingly revamped, refreshed and re?energised — it’s a brilliant time to join a team that’s growing, improving and celebrating every win.

We offer:

  • Christmas bonus
  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Supportive, friendly team culture
  • Warm, resident?focused environment
  • Opportunities to grow as the home continues to evolve

If you’re someone who brings comfort, kindness and a steady presence to the night hours, Menwinnion Country House is ready to welcome you into our family.
