We are looking for caring, kind and reliable people who are willing to learn. A positive attitude is essential, and full training can be provided for the right candidates.

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
• Understanding residents’ usual health and wellbeing needs, and recognising how ongoing care can affect residents and their families.
• Supporting residents with areas of daily living they would usually manage independently.
• Taking part in holistic, person-centred care activities.
• Meeting residents’ individual needs while promoting choice and independence.
• Reading and following each resident’s care plan to support continuity of care.
• Respecting each individual’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
• Supporting residents with moving and handling, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health or condition.
• Reporting hazards or unsafe equipment to a senior colleague.
• Attending required in-service, development and mandatory training.

For a Care Assistant role, it would be desirable to have:
• Previous care experience in a hospital, residential care home or nursing home.
• A genuine passion for supporting older people.
• A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work towards one.
