What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the delivery of learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
• Assisting with educational activities both in and outside the classroom.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with learners while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Promoting confidence, independence, self-esteem and emotional wellbeing.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome barriers to education.
• Working closely with teachers, families and external professionals to support learner progress.
• Contributing to reviews, meetings and learner progress discussions.
• Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and motivating learning environment.

About You

• Caring, patient and passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Experienced in supporting children and young people who may present with challenging behaviour, social, emotional or mental health needs.
• Resilient and confident in managing challenging situations with professionalism and consistency.
• Able to build positive relationships based on trust, consistency and respect.
• A strong team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
• Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous professional development.
• Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent).

Experience working with children and young people in an education, care or support setting is essential, alongside the values, attitude and commitment needed to make a positive difference every day.
