Wyndley Grange is a 64-bed nursing home rated Good by the CQC, providing nursing, dementia and palliative care. We're part of Homecroft Care Group, family-run since 2001.

We need a Quality Assurance Manager to run non-clinical governance and quality assurance across the home, working alongside the Registered Manager and the Deputy Manager (Clinical Governance) rather than in place of either.

This is a broad, hands-on operational role. You will run supernumerary audits of care-related services, lead health and safety and environmental compliance, and hold day-to-day oversight of the Lead Carer team's task standards. You will manage the staff rota and safe staffing across every department, run non-clinical recruitment end to end, and take on employee relations casework, working with our HR Manager on anything that becomes contested or moves toward formal process. You will also line-manage our support services heads of department: kitchen, domestic, maintenance and activities.

You will deputise for the Registered Manager on non-clinical and operational matters, including a share of the On Call Rota, and escalate anything clinical to the Deputy Manager (Clinical Governance) without delay. This role does not direct clinical practice.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum three years in a senior care or operational management role in a nursing home
• Experience running quality audits, compliance checks or operational walk rounds
• Proven staff rota oversight, workforce planning and safe staffing across multiple departments
• Solid working knowledge of the CQC Fundamental Standards, the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and UK employment legislation including the Equality Act 2010 and Employment Rights Act 1996
• Confidence deputising for a Registered Manager or senior manager across operational and quality functions
• A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, Business Administration or Leadership, or equivalent demonstrable experience

You'll need to manage a varied workload across quality, operations and HR, hold difficult conversations with discretion, and act as a visible ambassador for quality standards across the home.
