Senior night staff

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join our care home team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with proven supervisory experience and excellent communication skills. As a Senior Night Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents during overnight hours. Your leadership will support the delivery of high-quality care, adherence to care plans, and effective team coordination to maintain a warm and secure environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are maintained at all times.
• Supervise and support junior care staff during night shifts, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Monitor residents’ conditions throughout the night, promptly responding to any emergencies or changes in health status.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as mobility support, medication administration, and hygiene needs in accordance with care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident observations, incidents, and care activities using IT systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals to coordinate ongoing care needs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
• Support the development and review of individual care plans to reflect residents’ changing needs.
