Belvedere Park Nursing Home is looking for caring and enthusiastic Care Assistants to join our team on a bank basis, providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents.

Every resident is an individual, with their own personality, preferences, routines and care needs. As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in helping residents feel safe, comfortable, respected and valued while supporting them to maintain as much independence as possible.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will work alongside our nursing and care team to provide compassionate support tailored to each resident's individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care
• Assisting residents with mobility, transfers and repositioning where required
• Supporting residents at mealtimes and with food and fluids
• Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support
• Encouraging residents to maintain their independence, choices and interests
• Supporting residents to participate in activities and everyday life within the home
• Observing residents and reporting any changes in their health, wellbeing or behaviour to the nurse in charge
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining residents' dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Helping to maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment
• Working collaboratively with nurses, colleagues and other members of the wider team
• Completing relevant care records accurately and in a timely manner

Previous experience within a care or nursing home environment is welcomed. However, the right attitude, compassion and willingness to learn are equally important, and appropriate training and support will be provided.
