Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Maternity Cover

Georgian House Nursing Home is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our professional and compassionate care team on a maternity cover basis.

We are looking for a nurse who demonstrates excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to our residents.

Position Details

  • Contract: Maternity Cover
  • Expected Start: January 2027
  • Duration: Until further notice / return of the postholder
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, including breaks
  • Visa Sponsorship: Unfortunately, this position does not offer visa sponsorship or visa support.

Key Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN
  • Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience, preferably within a nursing home or elderly care setting
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional approach
  • Reliable, responsible, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care to residents
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualised care plans
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential nursing documentation
  • Supervise and support care staff when required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant clinical, safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
