About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and support to the care team.
  • Promote person-centred care, dignity, privacy, choice and independence.
  • Assess and monitor people's physical and mental health and respond appropriately to changes.
  • Oversee and contribute to clinical care plans, ensuring they are reviewed and kept up to date.
  • Support safe medication management in line with competencies and company procedures.
  • Work alongside external healthcare professionals, including Dietitians, Speech and Language Therapists, Podiatrists and Community Psychiatric Nurses.
  • Support and guide colleagues and students to develop their clinical knowledge and confidence.
  • Ensure delegated tasks are appropriately supervised and completed to the required standard.
  • Support effective clinical risk management and identify opportunities to reduce risk.
  • Maintain accurate, clear and up-to-date clinical records.
  • Support high standards of wound, catheter, continence, stoma and other relevant clinical care.
  • Promote safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager to review clinical information, identify trends and improve outcomes.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • A registered nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Caring, compassionate and respectful.
  • Experienced in delivering high-quality clinical care within a care environment.
  • Confident providing clinical leadership and supporting colleagues.
  • Able to assess, monitor and respond appropriately to changes in people's health and wellbeing.
  • Organised and able to maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Confident contributing to care planning, risk management and medication management.
  • Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals.
  • Committed to professional development, clinical excellence and person-centred care.
