Pay: £55,564 per annum

Shift Times: 9am – 5.30pm

We are seeking a team of enthusiastic adult Nurse qualified Clinical Manager to provide oversight  of our residential nursing care provision for older people in a wonderful spacious and modern home at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose-built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, cafe?, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

As a Clinical Manager , you will coordinate the assessment, management and care of residents with long-term and complex health conditions, ensuring safe, high quality care while helping to reduce avoidable hospital admissions. The role also provides expert guidance and support to the wider care team.

What You’ll Bring

  • A current NMC registration (Band 6 or above), supported by ongoing professional development and a passion for clinical excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, clinical governance and regulatory compliance, with the ability to maintain high-quality care and drive best practice.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams within a healthcare, nursing home or community care setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, inspire confidence and influence others effectively.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to risk management, problem-solving and service improvement.
  • A flexible and resilient approach, with strong IT skills, the ability to work under pressure, and access to a vehicle for travel as required.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to care teams, promoting resident safety, wellbeing and dignity.
  • Oversee clinical governance, completing audits and ensuring assessments, care documentation and practices meet required standards.
  • Lead and participate in MDT meetings, working with internal and external professionals to coordinate high-quality resident care.
  • Develop, supervise and assess clinical staff through appraisals, competency reviews, CPD and targeted training.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC, NMC, Health & Safety and company policies, ensuring best practice is embedded across the service.
  • Monitor clinical equipment, identify and escalate risks or performance concerns, and work with the General Manager to drive continuous improvement.
