Hours: 28.5 hours per week across 3 days, including alternate weekends.

EachStep Care Blackley is a 60-bedded, purpose-built specialist dementia care service providing respite, residential, nursing and end-of-life care. The home offers a modern, dementia-friendly environment, person-centred care and strong connections with the local community.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and preferably experienced Cook to join our team. You will prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, helping make mealtimes enjoyable and supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents.

• Cater for special dietary requirements and individual preferences.

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

• Ensure food is stored, prepared and served safely.

• Help create a positive and enjoyable dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• Previous cooking experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

• Ideally living locally to Blackley or able to drive and commute reliably.

• A caring attitude and willingness to work in a specialist dementia care setting.

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
