Well done Eachstep
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your Mum has settled in so well and is enjoying the activities and garden. It is wonderful to know that you feel welcomed and reassured by the care and kindness shown by our team. We will be sure to share your kind words with everyone at Eachstep Blackley.
Our mum has been there for four weeks and we cannot fault anything, all the staff greeted her by name on her arrival.
Amber on reception/ in the office has been amazing, so helpful with everything, and explained so much.
All the staff on mums floor know and understand mum well, they all have time to sit and talk too; as does Michelle the manager. Michelle on several occasions has asked how we are with everything, the stress of our mum and her Alzheimer diagnosis.
My sister and I would have no reservations recommending Eachstep to anyone for their loved ones.
Well done Eachstep.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mum has settled in well and that you and your sister have felt supported throughout her first few weeks at Eachstep. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Amber, Michelle and the whole team. It means a great deal to...
My mum moved into Eachstep in December 2025 and as a family we have never looked back. Mum loves everything about it, she lived alone so coming into residential care has opened up a whole new experience for mum. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble they definitely go above and beyond. Mum has made lots of friends and enjoys all the activities that are offered on a daily basis. I am informed of anything that mum does throughout the day which is good. I would highly recommend Eachstep to anyone. I have no concerns leaving mum at all.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear how well your mum has settled in and that she is enjoying the activities, friendships, and support from our team. Your kind words about our staff mean a great deal to us. Thank you for trusting us with your mum's care and for your recommendation.
My wife is lovingly cared for by the staff at Woodland at Eachstep. I visit regularly, and carers are polite, happy and helpful. They always update me on my wife's progress, if anything should happen, I will be informed and updated by telephone. I greatly recommend this care home.
Thank you for your kind words and recommendation. We're so pleased to hear that your wife is being well cared for and that you feel supported and kept informed.
Your comments about our team mean a great deal, and we'll be sure to share them. It's always our priority to provide compassionate care and clear communication with families.
We are so happy we found Eachstep care home. The staff are very supportive and very friendly, they do work very hard. Also, the place very clean thanks to the lovely housekeepers, home cooked food, spacious so all can have a good walk about, cinema room which is fantastic idea. We now feel our mother is safe and very well cared for and definitely not lonely. We can't thank and recommend Eachstep enough. Thank you all.

After being here for almost two years she is very settled enjoys her surroundings. The garden is lovely and the carers take her out at every opportunity.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear your mum is happy, settled, and well cared for at EachStep Blackley. It means a great deal to our team to know that her dignity, preferences, and wellbeing are being supported every day. We're also glad she enjoys the garden and getting out whenever possible.
My step Dad went to stay at Eachstep initially for a respite stay after his dementia condition meant he was no longer safe to live independently and it soon became clear that it was the perfect place for him to stay long term. We looked at so many other care homes and Eachstep is like a breath of fresh air in comparison. The staff are caring, kind and knowledgeable about his specific dementia needs. His room is lovely - bright and airy and always spotless. He really enjoys the food and company at mealtimes. He has not looked this well in years and we can finally rest easy that he is happy, settled, safe and well cared for. He is treated like family and for that we are very grateful. Thank you for everything.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review. We're so pleased to hear that your stepdad has settled in well and that you feel confident in the care he's receiving. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment, so it means a lot to know he's happy, comfortable, and thriving. Thank you for your trust and kind words.
Seeing my sister go into a care home has been the worst part of my life. We visited so many homes before finding Each Step and so glad we persevered. The staff are so well trained in understanding the behaviour that comes with dementia and do their utmost to keep everyone happy with thoughtfulness, kindness and dignity. The settling in hasn't been without its difficulties but we have great confidence that each step forward will be trodden carefully and with love. Big thanks to everyone (bar none)!
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We understand how difficult it can be to make the decision to place a loved one in care, and we are so grateful that you found EachStep Blackley to be the right place for your sister. It's wonderful to hear that our staff's understanding of dementia and...
I love this place my gran was here too so when mum got ill this was the only place I wanted my mum to be placed in. The staff are caring and go above and bound for the people they care for. They always make you welcome when you visit.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're honoured that you chose EachStep Blackley for your mum, especially after having such a positive experience with your gran being here. It's wonderful to hear that you feel our staff go above and beyond in their care and that you're always made to feel...
Excellent staff looking after my auntie. The home is always clean and tidy. The staff are very welcoming and always happy to talk. The food and drink is also excellent. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff doing a difficult job they are just brilliant.

Dad has been in Eachstep Blackley for over 5 years the support and care he receives is second to none. He has deteriorated over the last few years and despite this, all his needs are still met. As a family member, we are kept in the loop and also supported. We cannot fault the care he receives and wouldn't want our dad to be any where else. The staff are unsung heroes caring for our loved ones like they would care for there own.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt and thoughtful review. We are truly honoured that your dad has been with us for over five years and that the care and support he receives have met your family's expectation. We deeply appreciate your recognition of the support you, as a family, receive from us -...
My mum who has dementia, moved into Eachstep Blackley in October 2024, for some respite as we had a very difficult time looking after her at home. This was her first real stint in a care environment, and even day centres hadn't gone well up to this point, so we were so nervous. However, I shouldn't have been, as the care she has been receiving and the efforts the staff make to make her feel at home are second to none. She is happier there than she would have been at home, and I can relax knowing that she's safe, warm, well fed, and has constant good company. Whilst every aspect of this home is brilliant, the main aspect is the staff. They treat everyone like their family, with such respect and affection. They have sweet little in-jokes with my mum and really know how to put her at ease - within the first few days they had all the tools and tricks that she needs figured out, that have taken me years to master. Their dementia understanding and skills are really fantastic.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt and thoughtful review. We are so pleased to hear that your mum is thriving at EachStep Blackley and that the care she is receiving has exceeded your expectations. It's wonderful to know that the staff have been able to make her feel at home and have developed...
My mum entered Eachstep Blackley 5 years ago, almost to the day. I had just lost my dad quite suddenly and I'm an only child. I was heading for a nervous breakdown before my mum started being cared for by a staff member and her team on Howells. Only three months later Covid struck and I couldn't touch mum for almost a year. During that time, one staff member in particular took my place, am I eternally grateful. She kept my mum and her other residents as safe as she could, and my mum turns 88 next week, and is thriving with a continued quality of life. I cannot stress how much this staff member and the whole team at Eachstep mean to me. They are our family, and treat my mum as they would treat their own mum. I cannot praise the staff highly enough.
Thank you so much for sharing such a personal and heartfelt review. We are deeply moved to know that the care your mum has received at EachStep Blackley has made such a positive difference, especially during such a challenging time for you and your family. It means the world to us that a specific...
The manager and staff are so good with her and we have total peace of mind while she is in their care. (I have put a '5' rating for food and rooms because a rating was required but I genuinely don't know about the food and my mum doesn't use a room.)
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are so pleased to hear that your mum has adjusted well and feels comfortable with the care she receives at EachStep. It's wonderful that she's greeted with such warmth and care from our staff, and that she is so content when arriving each day. We...
I would like to start off by saying how lovely the staff are, always going above and beyond. They excel in making the residents feel at home with customised name slips on their doors and decorating for every occasion. The home was decorated lovely this Christmas, bringing cheer throughout for residents. The staff spend time forming bonds with residents and those who visit making the atmosphere in the home friendly. The catering skills are up to a high standard, always making sure there is a hot meal for all residents.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's wonderful to hear that the staff's efforts to create a warm, welcoming, and festive atmosphere made a difference. We're thrilled you noticed the personal touches and high standards - it means a lot to the whole team!
Mum spent 3 years and 1 day at this care home being admitted in 2021 and spending around 12 months in the residential unit before transferring to the nursing area as her condition worsened before passing in November 2024. Throughout her stay she was treated with kindness, respect and above all she retained as much dignity as can be had when someone is terminally ill with dementia.
Every member of the team deserves a mention for the tremendous work that they do and the way that they care and love for the residents as though they were their own family. From the carers to the nurses, the catering staff to the housekeeping and laundry, all of them are special. I hope that I do not require their services in the future but if I do I would not hesitate to recommend them, they all truly fantastic.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt and kind review. We are truly honoured that your mum spent her final years with us, and we're deeply grateful for the trust you placed in our team. It means the world to us to know that throughout her stay, she was treated with kindness, respect, and dignity....
My wife has dementia and needs 24 hour care. I and my daughter look after her full time. However the Manchester Local Authority have allowed to use Eachstep for four hours per week care home facility. We found them immensely beneficial. The staff at Blackley are always so pleasant and helpful and the facilities offered allow us a complete break. My wife is always greeted and treated with the utmost care. We are delighted with what Eachstep provide.
Thank you for the kind review! I'm pleased we are able to provide support to help your wife stay at home longer. We will pass this feedback on to the team.
As with this awful disease Alzheimer's, decline is inevitable but we have been supported and guided along the way. Mum's respect, safety and dignity has been their priority and that is such a comfort.
Even now as it's clear the disease is taking mum into a nursing scenario we're supported all the way. Communication levels are high. Anticipation of mums needs are always there. Special visits when she was in hospital when carer was off duty - is something we can't put a price on. We shall never forget what this has meant to us - sincere thank you from all our hearts
Thank you for this wonderful review. I'm so pleased to hear that your mum's keyworker and the rest of the team are supporting you and your family so well. We will pass this onto the team at the home.
Staff are nothing short of excellent and go above and beyond demonstrating commitment to their duties; they have provided a warm and welcoming environment for residents, family and visitors. A home from home - our friend is receiving outstanding care and we would highly recommend Eachstep to anyone in need. Thank you to all the staff!
Thank you for the kind review. It's great to hear how the team helped with the journey from hospital to EachStep. It can be very difficult and I'm glad the team at EachStep were able to make this easier for you and your loved one. We will pass your kind words onto the team.
