Job description:
Do you have the passion, creativity and ambition to make a difference?
Do you want to work for an established care home that recognises potential, values fresh ideas and gives people the opportunity to shine?
At St Thomas’ Priory, we believe great care is about more than meeting needs — it’s about creating opportunities, making memories and helping people live fulfilling lives.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated Activities Lead who wants to do more than simply fill a timetable. We want someone who can bring energy into our home, inspire residents, develop exciting ideas and create meaningful experiences that make a genuine difference every single day. Can you lead a small activities team?
This is your opportunity to make your mark!
We want someone who can bring activities to life, think outside the box and help us deliver a programme that residents genuinely look forward to. From music, entertainment and community events to reminiscence, individual interests and unexpected moments of joy, you’ll have the opportunity to shape an activities programme that reflects the people who call St Thomas’ Priory home.
What will you bring to the role?
- Creativity and enthusiasm: You have ideas, initiative and the confidence to turn them into reality.
- A passion for people: You understand that every resident has their own story, interests, abilities and aspirations.
- Energy and personality: You can motivate, engage and bring people together, creating a positive atmosphere throughout the home.
- Compassion and understanding: You recognise the importance of dignity, choice, independence and inclusion.
- Drive and ambition: You want to develop, learn and make a real contribution to the home.
You will take the lead in planning and delivering a varied activities programme, working closely with residents, families and colleagues to ensure activities are meaningful, inclusive and tailored to individual preferences and needs.
Experience in a care home or activities role would be an advantage, but attitude, imagination and the desire to make a difference matter just as much. We recognise potential and are interested in people who are ready to bring their own strengths and ideas to the role.
Why St Thomas’ Priory?
We are an established care home that understands the importance of investing in people. We want colleagues who are proud of what they do, encouraged to develop their abilities and given the opportunity to make a positive impact.
This is a chance to take ownership, bring your ideas forward and help shape the everyday experiences of our residents.
Ready to make a difference?
If you’re someone who sees possibilities where others see routine, who believes that every day should offer something to enjoy, and who wants to work somewhere that recognises potential, we want to hear from you.
Bring your personality. Bring your ideas. Bring your ambition.
Help us make every day matter at St Thomas’ Priory. Apply today!
