The Role:

As our Lead Activities Coordinator, you’ll be positive, vibrant and will be able to craft and deliver a whirlwind of social and recreational activities for our wonderful residents. You will be flexible and adaptable as you work around their needs, bringing joy and excitement every single day. Got a passion for boosting the wellbeing of the elderly? Your responsibilities

• Develop and launch an array of captivating activities tailored to our residents’ interests and abilities.
• Host group events and provide one-on-one fun for our residents.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia – patience and creativity are key!
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere in our care home.
• Team up with care staff to integrate activities into residents’ daily lives.
• Keep track of activities and participation to see what works for residents individually and as a group
• Cheer on and support residents, boosting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

What You Bring:

• Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in creating and leading engaging activities for the elderly.
• Experience working with people with dementia – you’re patient, adaptable, and a creative problem-solver.
• Excellent communication skills where kindness, empathy and compassion shines through
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Independence and teamwork skills
