Care Assistant

About the Role

Old Raven House Care Home is looking for a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Day Care Assistant to join our team, working 30+ hours per week.

As a Day Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents with their daily routines, promoting their independence and ensuring they receive high-quality, person-centred care in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene.

• Support residents with daily activities, mobility and mealtimes.

• Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting residents' wellbeing and independence.

• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment.

• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns to senior members of staff.

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality care.

• Respect residents' dignity, privacy and individual preferences at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a caring, patient and compassionate approach.

• Is reliable, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team.

• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Is committed to providing high standards of care.

• Ideally has previous experience working in a care environment, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
