Kitchen Assistant

3 shifts per week 9am - 18:30pm (27 hours) 

Key Tasks

• At all times to maintain effective communication and liaison with the Crown Care Group home manager, Head Chef and Chef to ensure the smooth, safe and effective provision of catering / food services.
• ·  To assist the Head Chef / Chef in preparing nutritious, balanced meals consistent to the needs and choices of service users.
• ·  To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen, dining and storage areas.
• ·  To keep food free from harmful bacteria and disease.
• ·  To be responsible (under the supervision of the Head Chef) for the serving and removal of food.
• ·  To promote and display a professional image commensurate with the high standards of the Crown Care Group. 
• ·  In conjunction with the wider care team to adhere to the home’s philosophies and goals and statement of purpose.
• - To complete pot washing daily 
• - To have some cooking experience, to be able to fill in for Cook as and when needed
