Requirements for Healthcare Assistant

• Previous experience working in a care home or similar care setting is essential
• A genuine passion for delivering warm, person-centred care
• Right to work in the UK — please note we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role, and applications from candidates requiring sponsorship cannot be progressed
• Willingness to work flexibly across day and night shifts
• A caring, patient, and reliable approach, with strong communication skills

Responsibilities of Healthcare Assistant

• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility, in line with individual care plans
• Assist with meals, medication prompts, and daily activities that promote independence and wellbeing
• Build genuine, trusted relationships with residents and their families
• Maintain accurate records in line with CIW (Care Inspectorate Wales) standards and Amaya's policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to safeguard and promote residents' welfare

Salary: £13.45 per hour
Location: Capel Grange Care Home, Newport
