£14.00 per hour | Day shifts 8am–2pm or 2pm–8pm · long day 8am–8pm · nights 8pm–8am | Alternate weekends

Join a family-run residential care home on the edge of Hitchin

Foxholes sits in 18 acres just outside Hitchin and is rated Good by the CQC. We are looking for warm, reliable Care Assistants who want to get to know our residents properly and be part of a small, settled team. We recruit locally, and we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Shifts available

- Day: 8am to 2pm, or 2pm to 8pm

- Long day: 8am to 8pm

- Night: 8pm to 8am

- Alternate weekends are part of the rota

Your day will include

- Helping residents with personal care, washing, dressing and mealtimes, with dignity and patience.

- Supporting residents to stay as independent as they can, and encouraging them to join in with the life of the home.

- Keeping clear written notes and handing over properly at the end of your shift.

- Working as part of the care team on the rota above.

- Following care plans and raising concerns promptly with the senior on duty.

About you

- A kind, calm manner with older people, and you enjoy getting to know them.

- Reliable and happy to follow set routines, including infection control and moving and handling.

- Care experience is welcome but not essential. Full training is given, including the Care Certificate.

- You must already have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
