£14.00 per hour | Day shifts 8am–2pm or 2pm–8pm · long day 8am–8pm · nights 8pm–8am | Alternate weekends

Join our residential care home in Hitchin

Sloe Hill is our sister home to Foxholes, a family-run residential care home. We are looking for warm, reliable Care Assistants who want to get to know our residents properly and be part of a small, settled team. We recruit locally, and we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Shifts available

- Day: 8am to 2pm, or 2pm to 8pm

- Long day: 8am to 8pm

- Night: 8pm to 8am

- Alternate weekends are part of the rota

Your day will include

- Helping residents with personal care, washing, dressing and mealtimes, with dignity and patience.

- Supporting residents to stay as independent as they can, and encouraging them to join in with the life of the home.

- Keeping clear written notes and handing over properly at the end of your shift.

- Working as part of the care team on the rota above.

- Following care plans and raising concerns promptly with the senior on duty.

About you

- A kind, calm manner with older people, and you enjoy getting to know them.

- Reliable and happy to follow set routines, including infection control and moving and handling.

- Care experience is welcome but not essential. Full training is given, including the Care Certificate.

- You must already have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
