Police are hunting for a man who sexually assaulted an elderly woman in a care home in the Milton Keynes area.
The assault happened in September 2010 when the 70-year-old woman was being washed. She did not report the assault at the time but confided in female carers a year later.
Thames Valley Police was first notified on 21 September 2011 and an investigation was launched.
It was subsequently discovered the carer had used false details to obtain a job at the care home and his true identity is not known.
Investigating officer Det Con Liz Batchelor, based at Bletchley police station, said: “There is a concern this man may be working at another care home so we are very keen to trace him.
“I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the photograph to come forward as soon as possible.”
If you can help, please contact Det Con Batchelor via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
If you don't want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
Police have released this image of the man.
