A residential home with a “lovely atmosphere” has been commended for the quality of its care by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Shevington Court Nursing Home in Rainhill, Lancashire, was recently visited by inspectors who praised staff for being “respectful” of residents and supporting them in a “discrete and dignified” way. It was also noted that staff have a “positive rapport” with those they care for, creating a “lovely atmosphere” within the home.
Beverley Unsworth, manager of the purpose-built facility, said: “I am extremely pleased with the result of the CQC report and all the positive feedback that it included. Hearing the excellent reviews and comments from our residents and the endorsement of the CQC is very rewarding. The report is testament to the staff at Shevington Court who work extremely hard to ensure we exceed all standards set by the CQC and make this a homely, safe and comfortable environment for our residents to live in.”
