Care home provider Bupa has launched a new health and support scheme for its care home employees.

The scheme called Business Fit is aimed at helping people to stay healthy and provides a range of support including measures to help tackle mental health and musculoskeletal conditions.
Bev Ashby, people director for Bupa Care Services said: “We are determined to be as committed to looking after our people as they are to providing top-quality care for our residents.
“Offering Business Fit to our people will help them to stay fit and healthy - which is good for them, good for Bupa, and good for the care home residents they look after. As a business, two of our objectives are to keep people healthy and to make sure people love working at Bupa, so this is an important step for us.”
Business Fit is part of Bupa Business Healthcare Solutions and provides fast, direct self-referral for mental health conditions and physiotherapy for muscle, bone and joint conditions.
Care home employees will also have access to Bupa Anytime Healthline for round-the-clock medical advice from a nurse or GP.
Around 27,000 people work in Bupa’s 300 care homes in the UK.
