Three care workers accused of assaulting and harassing residents, at the Old Deanery care home in Essex, have appeared in court.
All three women are from Braintree and are Adeshola Adediwura, 32, Lorna Clark, 44, and Anita Ray, 45.
They appeared at Colchester Magistrates Court and were charged with assault and harassment of residents at the care home, which is alleged to have taken place between October 2013 and February 2014.
The alleged abuse was revealed during an undercover investigation by BBC Panorama which aired earlier this year.
Following the programme, Essex police arrested four people but one was released without charge due to insufficient evidence.
The women were given unconditional bail and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court at a later date.
The Old Deanery care home is owned by Anglia Retirement Homes Ltd.
