Comedian Hugh Dennis recognises those that go the extra-mile at the National Care Awards 2015

The Hilton London Metropole, London recently played host to the 17th National Care Awards 2015, celebrating the delivery of great care across the UK’s care homes.

The awards were hosted by comedian, actor and writer Hugh Dennis and sponsored by specialist broker and advisor, Christie + Co, Fowler UK, Compass Associates, Pinders and Sky.

The National Care Awards is the sector’s biggest, most anticipated annual event, promoting excellent care throughout the entire care sector. The awards provide an opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication of the UK’s care staff.

Director of carehome.co.uk, Davina Ludlow attended the event. She said: “The National Care Awards are a highly anticipated annual event in the care calendar and this year was no exception.

“The awards provide a platform to celebrate and recognise the wonderful care that is being provided across the UK’s care homes and congratulate all of the care workers and staff who go the extra-mile to deliver quality support to those in their care.”

The awards recognised individuals and groups from across the sector, including Avnish Goyal of Hallmark Care, founder of the Care Workers Charity and chair of Care England. Judges recognised and rewarded his commitment, enthusiasm and outstanding energy for the sector.

While Anchor were recognised as the Care Home Group of 2015 for their honesty and integrity throughout the services they provide, ensuring those who use them have a life.

A specialist team of judges reviewed all nominees before reaching a final decision and crowning the winners at the special gala night.
