The model of dementia care used at Aranlaw House has played a significant part in this achievement. The team at Aranlaw House uses specialist dementia communication techniques which provides the staff with a clear and workable practical method to meeting the needs of the people they support. One of the company's main visions is to ensure that each person’s needs are met in a way that reflects their individuality.
This includes their health, social, emotional and spiritual needs. Another important value shared by the entire team is to encourage, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and social networks and to challenge stigma that can often be present around living with mental health needs or dementia.
