ITV's Dr. Hilary Jones officially opens Cheshire’s Newest Care Home!

Elworth Grange care home, operated by Ideal Carehomes, has held its official ‘virtual’ grand opening ceremony with the help of a very special guest of honour: Dr. Hilary Jones. The care home, located on Booth Lane in Sandbach, will create over 50 jobs for local people during its first phase of recruitment and will provide a home for 66 people. To celebrate the launch of the luxurious home, future residents and their friends and families, as well as the local community, were invited to join the Elworth Grange team ‘live’ on Facebook to safely watch the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Staff virtually welcomed ITV’s Dr. Hilary Jones, who gave a heart-warming speech, crediting social care and key workers for their commitment to caring for the elderly. He officially announced Elworth Grange as open as the staff team based at the home cut the ribbon on his behalf. Dr. Hilary Jones said, "I am thrilled and delighted to be virtually here at the official opening of Elworth Grange. The care workers do an amazing job - keep up the good work, I am very proud of you and I think you are inspirational." Dr. Hilary, who has practised as a GP for over 40 years and has been the medical advisor on ITV morning shows since 1989 continued: "The work that Ideal Carehomes does to look after their residents is fantastic – supporting people through care and helping to alleviate the loneliness that some may feel is hugely important, both now and in the future." Dr. Hilary enjoyed meeting the staff team and having a look around the home via an online link and said that he looks forward to visiting in person when he is able to do so.
