Queensmount Bupa care home recognised as one of leading in UK

Staff and residents at Queensmount Bupa Care Home recently celebrated achieving an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the second time in a row.

The Bournemouth-based care home was rated Outstanding in all five inspection areas – putting it among the top one per cent of care homes in the UK.

In fact, according to the CQC, Queensmount is one of only three care homes to have ever achieved the Outstanding rating across all five areas twice in a row -, and the only care home in the UK to have achieved this since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

The CQC praised the exceptionally safe care and outstanding kindness provided by staff, as well as the home’s person-centred approach and use of innovative therapies to support residents’ health, wellbeing, and independence.

To mark the occasion, the home recently hosted a celebratory event to share the achievement with residents, staff, family members and friends.

Guests enjoyed refreshments and BBQ dishes whilst being serenaded by Jim Etherington, who performed a selection of popular hits while local hero, Jeff Mostyn, Chairman at AFC Bournemouth Football Club, attended the event to show his support for the care home.
