Residents at Lakeview Lodge Care Home in Milton Keynes recently enjoyed a memorable trip to Hammerton Zoo. This outing was particularly special to them, as many had fond memories of visiting the zoo during their childhoods and with their own families.

The trip was organized as part of the "Make a Wish" initiative by Country Court, the parent company of Lakeview Lodge. This initiative has enabled residents from Lakeview Lodge and other Country Court care homes to experience unique outings and activities, ranging from boat trips and book launches to off-road driving and family tea parties.

"Residents Rob, Pam, Hilda, and Annie thoroughly enjoyed their day at the zoo. They reminisced about the animals they loved to see as children, making the trip a sentimental experience," commented Georgia Morrison.

"A highlight of the day was seeing the rare white tiger up close. The residents were amazed by its size and colour, and they continued to talk about the experience for days afterward. They also enjoyed watching the bears and having a picnic lunch, reminiscent of outings from their past," added Wellbeing Coordinator Marie Graham.

Residents expressed their appreciation with comments like, "Thank you for such a nice day," and "Please can we do this all again next year? It’s been truly amazing."
