Who needs a ticket when you’ve got laughter, chocolates, and a Human Candy Machine? Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Adelaide House Care Home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, created their very own version of the National Lottery with a sweet twist, turning it into a day full of joy, surprises, and treats.

The star attraction of the event was the Human Candy Machine, where colleagues and residents became the “spinning reels.” Each time the bell rang, the room filled with laughter, cheers, and plenty of playful fun. The activity not only brought joy but also encouraged everyone to get involved and moving in the most entertaining way.

No celebration would be complete without a little indulgence as a basket overflowing with delicious sweets and chocolates added an extra sparkle to the occasion, ensuring that everyone felt like a winner, no ticket required.

The event was more than just a game; it was a reminder that the greatest jackpot of all is the happiness found in spending time together.

Wellbeing Coordinator at HC-One’s Adelaide House Care Home, Ghody John Dano, said:

“At Adelaide House, we love creating moments that bring our resident’s joy. The Human Candy Machine was such a fun idea, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear so much laughter. For us, these are the memories that really matter.”

Everyone left the day with a smile, a sweet treat, and memories as delightful as candy, proof that at Adelaide House, every day has the potential to be a winning one.
