Community Partnership Highlight at The Anchorage

Kate, Community Engagement Manager at The Anchorage, recently welcomed Maria Fitzgerald, Charitable Services Manager at The Mary How Trust, for a visit to the home.

During her time at The Anchorage, Maria met with residents, team members, and Care Manager Sam. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to share ideas, strengthen local connections, and learn more about the impactful work the Trust delivers across the community.

Kate shared: “It was a real pleasure to welcome Maria to The Anchorage and introduce her to our residents and team. The work The Mary How Trust does is truly invaluable, and we’re proud to support raising awareness of their services while exploring ways we can work together through events and fundraising to benefit our local community.”

The Mary How Trust, a well-established local charity, has been providing life-saving health screenings for over 35 years to individuals aged 18 and over across Sussex and beyond. Their services help identify early signs of serious conditions including heart disease, bowel cancer, diabetes, and aortic aneurysm, alongside offering guidance to support healthier lifestyles.

As a fully donor-supported organisation, the Trust operates on a donation basis, ensuring their vital services remain accessible to all.
