Residents at Maidstone Care Centre were delighted to once again welcome Naomi whose visits have quickly become a firm favourite in the home’s lifestyle calendar.
Bringing along a wonderful mix of fluffy and scaly companions, the session give everyone the opportunity to get up close with a variety of animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, frogs, lizards and snakes. A particular highlight was Rolo the ‘skinny pig’, who sparked plenty of smiles and conversation.
Animalia Encounters are known for their engaging and interactive sessions, designed to be both fun and educational, while also encouraging social interaction and sensory experiences. Everyone fully embraced the experience, enjoying the chance to hold the animals, learn more about them, and share memories of their own experiences with wildlife.
The visit held special meaning for resident Peter, a former professional wildlife photographer, who particularly enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with animals and share his knowledge and passion with others.
Belinda, Lifestyle Lead at Maidstone Care Centre, said: “These visits from Naomi and the Animalia animals are always so well received. The residents and the team absolutely love the hands-on experience, and it’s wonderful to see how engaged everyone becomes. It sparks conversation, brings back memories, and creates such a positive atmosphere throughout the home.”
