Chetwynd House Hosts The Great British Care Cycle 2026

Residents and team members at Chetwynd House Care Home in Chilwell are gearing up for an exciting and inspiring day as they prepare to host the Nottingham leg of the Great British Care Cycle Relay 2026.

Organised by Championing Social Care, this national event brings together care homes, communities, residents, families and professionals from across the UK to celebrate the vital role of social care. The relay shines a spotlight on the sector while promoting wellbeing, connection and community spirit through a unique cycling challenge.

This year, Chetwynd House is proud to take on hosting duties, welcoming cyclists as they arrive and depart on their Nottingham route. The event promises to be a lively and uplifting occasion, with residents playing a central role in cheering on participants and celebrating the achievements of everyone involved.

The Great British Care Cycle Relay is a multi-day event taking place across the country, with legs in cities including Edinburgh, York, Cardiff and London, leading up to Care Home Open Week 2026.
